SL Leadership Team update

Hello all!

Just a quick update from the Leadership Team. First off, there WILL be a noon SLT service this Sunday. Yay! Mark is still on vacation, and I’m still waiting to hear back from the other service leaders, so I’m not sure who will be leading the service, but I will update the Service Times page of this blog when that is determined.

And welcome back, Gareth! He was lost in the wilds of RL while getting his broadband connection sorted out after his recent move. But he is back in the neighborhood, and should be back on for this Wednesday’s service.

As a final note, the Leadership Team will be meeting on Saturday. Please keep us in your prayers for a productive meeting. As always, please contact any of us with any suggestions or concerns about our community life.

Blessings to you all!
Cady

  1. If you are meaning that more people are attending church in Second Life because of the H1N1 pandemic, I don’t believe so.

Best Regards and success in your research

  2. To the leadership team – or anyone else – does anyone know if the numbers at SL have risen due to the H1N1 pandemic? I’m doing a story for Religion News Service.

  3. I would just like to say how delighted I was to read in your 17th Aug Update on the Noon service, the encouragement to gather and pray together when scheduled services are canceled. The point that members of the community and other visitors are “eagerly encouraged” to do this, is one of the wonderful things that is happening here at the Cathedral.

Thank you also for the new Prayer box. It is so good to be able to share our concerns and prayers with others and to know that if we can’t get to a service these prayers will still be prayed by those gathered. Thank you.

Have a wonderful productive meeting this Saturday. God Bless you all!
