Introducing Tithe Sixpence

For this post, I’m turning things over to Tithe Sixpence, our newly hired group Treasurer.

Greetings!

I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you.  Technically, I’m an alt account set up to act as the Anglicans of Second Life Treasurer, but I hope you won’t let that stand in the way of making friends with me!  A good friend, that you share things with.  Including a few Linden dollars, perhaps?

I have set up new donation fonts in the cathedral and chapel.  Please stop by and take a look at them.  Oh, and while you are at it, consider dropping in a Linden or two…  AoSL is a volunteer effort, and we do rely on your generous contributions to maintain our lovely space in Second Life.  You will see that there is a goal amount displayed above the font.  This is how many Lindens we need to cover our tier payment each month (in other words, our rental payment for Epiphany Island).  This is of course our immediate goal.  Any money raised above this amount will be put in a reserve fund, to help ensure that we will always be able to maintain this space for our community.

There are also other ways to show your financial support as well.  You can set up an monthly donation via Paypal here, if that is easier for you.  You can also pull up my profile inworld, and pay my account directly.  If you want to add me to your contact list to do this, please feel free!  I love making new friends in SL!

Thanks in advance to all of you for your continued support of our ministry.

  1. Tithe says, “Thanks for the warm welcome!” Yes, you can expect a financial statement on this blog early next week, after all the Holy Week/Easter activity dies down a bit!”

  2. Nice to meet you Tithe! What a wonderful name! It was mentioned back in February that financial statements would be made available quarterly. Looking forward to seeing this once you are up to speed in your new position.
