Greetings and heads up!
This Sunday, March 14, the US will be springing forward into Daylight Savings Time. Since this change will also affect Second Life Time, listen up, even if you don’t happen to live in the US.
We will be changing some of our service times for the next two weeks. These changes will affect the Sunday and weekday services held at the cathedral itself. The service times for Morning Prayer (midnight SLT), Evening Prayer (noon SLT) and Compline (8pm SLT), held at our chapel, will NOT change. The Sunday service will be held at 1pm (rather than noon) SLT, and the weekday services will be held at 3pm (rather than 2pm) SLT. On March 28, when Europe and the UK also go to Daylight (or Summer) Time, we will return to our regular times for these services.
This change will also affect the start time for our Sunday bible study. As Helene mentioned in an earlier post, the bible study team has decided to expand the study time to an hour and a half in order to allow more time for discussion. So for the next two Sundays, the bible study will run from 11:30am to 1pm SLT, and starting on March 28, will run from 10:30am to noon SLT.
So, don’t forget to change your clocks if you are in the US, and be aware of the time shift within SL if you are not. And as always, let us know if you have any questions!
